Roehrig Engineering has finally
brought its revolutionary, electric solution to the vehicle
dynamics testing world. For over a decade, we have been
testing dampers using clean, efficient and green technology to

Noise Testing:
ElecrtoMagnetic Low-Noise Testers
Roehrig
Engineering is now using its electric linear actuators to a new
area of testing needs. Because the motive items in the
machine have no contact surface, we are able to run below 42dB
Ambient and better allow the user to "listen" to their damper.

SLA: Static
Load Assist
Always pushing forward, Roehrig Engineering has developed a new
system designed to get more out of the EMA series of Electromagnetic
Linear Actuators. The Static Load Assist, SLA, addition can increase the
capacity of your EMA by up to 50%. The EMA has always been good at
frequency development, frame tested to 500 Hz, now with SLA, the more
static side of testing becomes the next avenue for an already versatile

DURABILITY:
Roehrig Engineering has completed another durability machine.
This particular machine was ordered to be able to run up to 4 specimens
at a time.
* It has an automated crossbar for raising and lowering the upper
mounting plate as well as a self-clamping feature to make the machine
more hands-free.
* It also incorporates auto cooling that is user defined so that
integrated air-knives directed at each individual specimen can be set to
provide air cooling during the test.
* It can be configured to run 1 - 2 - 3 or 4 dampers at a time,
using Roehrig Engineering's DLT: durability Life Testing software.
This software allows the user to set a dwell time (1 or two) and a
performance test nested within the total cycle count. Thus the
user can run for "X" number of cycles, run a performance test and then
go back to the dwell speed for as long as chosen.

AERO Loaders:
* Roehrig
Engineering is currently working on developing a set (4) of
Aero-Loaders for a 7 Post system. Roehrig was contacted for help
when the response rate of the current aero loaders were not fast enough to support the requirements of the
customer. When completed in August, it will be Roehrig's first
foray into the 7 Post world of testing.

High Velocity EMA's: 8 meters / second
In July, Roehrig Engineering delivers
two ground breaking pieces of testing equipment!

Roehrig Engineering delivers our most
powerful machine to date! In July,
JGRMX - SPIKE Hardcore Energy Yamaha Team Presented by
Toyota
took delivery of their new 6K-EMA-HV. This machine allows
them to test their dampers beyond 8 meters / second!!! It
uses our Electro Magnetic Linear Actuator technology coupled
to a high velocity mechanism to produce the affects of
landing off a high jump. Read the news release:

This follows the delivery of a similar machine to
KYB.

Durability:
In July, Roehrig Engineering
delivered LORD
Corporation's
latest piece of durability testing equipment. The 40 hp,
computer controlled variable speed machine is capable of
monitoring up to 4 pieces while running a durability cycle
with nested independent performance criteria.

REI announces
LEMA 2 year anniversary with Tenneco!
Two years ago, Roehrig
Engineering installed the world's first LEMA, Linetest
Electro-Magnetic Actuator, in Owen Sound Canada. Our standard EMA
was mated to our very own customized production hardware with test
pass/fail software. Running 3 shifts/day, 6 days a week, the LEMA
has tested over 10,000,000
cycles. With a 6 second cycle
time, including a pre-charge test and 2 speed tests, the LEMA has
been a tremendous success.

June 2011: Roehrig Engineering delivers its first
low level audible noise actuator for the development and
testing of dampers based on dB levels.
