30VS is the largest and most powerful damper
dynamometer built by Roehrig Engineering, Inc. This model is commonly
used by major automotive manufacturers and OEM damper manufacturers to
support damper research and development, and quality assurance work at
company testing facilities. The 30VS is completely computer controlled
using the SHOCK™ Test Control and Damper Analysis software.
A 30VS may be configured with a user’s choice of up to eight English or
Metric strokes up to 6 inches (150mm). Maximum force capacity up to +/-
5000 lbs. and velocities up to +/- 80 ips (2.0 m/sec) are standard with
the 30VS.
Typical Application
The 30VS is used in durability and production cycling as well as by
rally and/or off-road vehicle racing teams where large strokes, high
damper velocities and large damping forces in both compression and
rebound are common. Some 30VS systems have been configured to be housed
in race transporters for track-side damper build and test support.
