6K-EMA-HV: High
Velocity Series

The High Velocity EMA. Roehrig Engineering has
created an EMA capable of 8 met / sec over 450 mm of stroke. Due
to customer driven demand, Roehrig Engineering presents the EMA-HV
series. The first model being a 6K-EMA-HV. The LS (low
speed) side is a standard EMA, in this case the 6K capable of 6,000 lbs+
and up to 4 met /sec over 175 mm of stroke. The HS (high speed)
side increases the capability dramatically. Up to 8 met/sec and
over 450mm of usable stroke. This machine allows the user to run
track data playback for Moto-Cross bikes landing after long jumps.
The EMA is a true linear actuator. It provides extremely fast response
as well as excellent positioning accuracy, while eliminating backlash,
windup, and wear. EMA-2K (2,000lb / 8.9kN), EMA-4K (4,000lb / 17.8kN)
and EMA-6K at (6,000 lbs.+ / 26.7 kN) force.
The EMA can play back track data collected from a number of commonly
used onboard, automotive data acquisition systems. Partial, full, or
multiple lap play back is possible. EMA is also fully capable of
reproducing sinusoidal waveforms identical in comparison to our
industry-standard crank-style dynamometers. In addition, triangle,
square, and composite custom waveforms can also be generated and driven
through the EMA system, which is used in conjunction with our Shock6.0™
Test Control and Damper Analysis software.
