MOST COMMON PROBLEMS:

    1 - E-STOP or INVERTER NOT 0.0:

If your dyno will not run, perhaps one of a few things has happened.  Someone or something accidentally pressed your E-Stop button, your inverter is not on or it has an error message flashing.

Solution: Release the E-Stop button by turning it until it pops up.  Cycle the main power for 1 minute, you need to turn off the main power for 60 seconds since the inverter has capacitors that remained charged for a short time after power is turned off.  Do not start your Shock Program unless your keypad reads "0.0" anything else and the program will not work properly.

2 - Power Supply to electronics:

If you can not run a test or collect data or even get to the test screen, make sure all cables are plugged in and main power is on and 110/220 wall outlet power is on as well.  We get so many calls from people that say their inverter keypad reads "0.0" but the dyno will not run.  The 110 cable coming from the right back corner needs to be plugged into power.  Sometimes it comes loose from the wall, common after a race weekend, or the power strip is off.  Please check all power and cables.  It sounds simple but it is a very common problem.

3 - Plug in all cables:

We are constantly taking calls about a dyno not working and after some time realizing that not all of the cables are being used.  We put cables, software keys and sensors on the unit to be used.  If you have a cable hanging off, chances are it needs to be plugged into the right port.  The manual or the quick install can be a large help to over come this.

4 - Dyno will not collect data and only an hour ago it worked fine.

Perhaps you collected data all morning, went to lunch and when you came back, the dyno would not run, you get a "shock" error box.  Chances are you have a Laptop and the laptop decided to save power and turned off your USB ports.  See the above video, Power Management Video,  to help guide you through this problem.  You may also need to unplug the USB cable from the data card and plug it back into the laptop.  You basically tell the computer to find it again.
