If the dyno has timed out or just keeps running at the move
to speed the data system was not able to find a displacement
channel reading. The most common problem is the electronics
board power cord not plugged in or the motor properties are
set incorrectly.
As simple as it may sound many dyno problems are the machine
not plugged in.
There are TWO power cables to all REI dynos.
The high voltage cable is the large gray cable that powers
the inverter and motor this will be 220-480 volt. Make sure
this cable is connected and the power is on. The second cable
powers the data electronics, this will have a standard household
plug. Make sure this is plugged into a know good power source.
Many problems are traced back to a faulty power strip.
The dyno might time out if it can't find a point such as
gas test or BDC. Go to HARDWARE/MOTOR click through the warning
in the next window. This should bring you to the Roehrig Hardware
window. select the CONFIGURE button. The next window is the
motor properties window. In this window make sure the MOVE
CONTROL tolerance is set at 6% and the Frequency is .11 Hz.
